Why a Food and Health Crimes Commission when there are already regulatory bodies? You may ask.
An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was set up even though there were already regulatory bodies.
Isn't it so that those who still decide not to follow the rules and daringly commit Economic or Financial Crimes can face penalties?
If we just understand that so many health problems and deaths are caused or linked to toxic food including drinks and medicine in addition to body care products and to some extent harmful substance that people inhale, deliberately released in considerable amounts into the atmosphere, we would understand the dire need for an organisation specifically to punish Crimes related to food and health.
In addition there should a Food and Health Crimes Tribunal or Court to fast-track the prosecution of those who use harmful substances in the production or manufacturing of harmful food, drinks, health and body care products or do some very harmful things capable of affecting human health.
Even those who merchandise clearly harmful food, health and body products should be liable. If proven they really don't know those produce or products are harmful, they should at least reveal the suppliers and/or producers or manufacturers.
If the current trend of careless or deliberate use of very harmful practices and toxic substances in production of food, medicine and body care products is not stopped, these can snowball into national health crises.
Even if not that, does any country want a population that is predominantly physically and mentally weak or constantly, desperately in need of solutions to serious health conditions?
