FOOD POISONING? FRESHLY PLUCKED EDIBLE LEAVES CAN DELAY, EVEN STOP DEATH

We’ve all heard stories of how people died of food poisoning before they could get to hospital or before a healthcare practitioner arrived.

There was this story of a family of at least four persons that died during the night or before morning after eating sardine and bread. The sardine was probably expired or contaminated.

There's story of those who died after drinking gari with mango. People started assuming that the combination of mango and gari was a killer – not actually.

The mango or gari was probably contaminated. The mango may have been carbide-ripened.

There have also been stories of those who died after eating beans such that some people tagged the food ‘Killer beans’.

The beans was said to have been sprayed with sniper or some harsh chemicals to prevent insects.

There were also those who ate roadside food like ‘suya’- the meat was likely contaminated or ‘unhygienically’-prepared.

I also saw recently the story of how a man returned from work and drank coconut water after the coconut was cracked not realising the inside of the coconut had become mouldy so the coconut water was contaminated. He was said to have been rushed to the hospital but died before he got access to medical treatment.

If you find yourself or someone in your care in a situation where you begin to have serious body discomfort after eating  food or taking a drink, realise this  - the poisonous substance  in what you ingested spreads in your system as the food or drink digests and moreso as the person moves – this is one of the reasons people that have had poisoning die when being rushed to get medical care – the more they move, the more the poison spreads in their system.

Depending on how potent the poisonous substance(s) is and the state of one's health,  the cells of the body that harbour the mitochondria- the unit of life can be overpowered when attacked by the poison– give up the life they carry.

Leaves that are growing on a plant carry life in their cells. The less the health hazards to that plant( i.e. not grown or sprayed with harmful substances) the more vibrant the life it carries.

So one of the safest and most effective thing to do for food poisoning is to pluck edible leaves from such a plant and give to the person who has been poisoned to chew and/or swallow.

Also give clean water if sure the water is really clean so the substance of life in the leaves can flow faster in that body and catch up with the substance of death in the poison before it overpowers the body cells.

The substance of life in the leaves will soak up the dangerous compound(s) in the poison and weaken it.

Remember the body system or natural immunity of the person will also be fighting to sustain that life except the person has serious pre-existing poor health condition even before the poisoning.

Whatever state of health of the person,  the substance in the leaves will be like reinforcement to the cells in that body to retain that life.

But note that if  reinforcement is sent to a weak and already de-moralised army in a war, they may have given up and conceded defeat before the reinforcement arrives at the battle-front.

So it is important for people to try and be in good health always, so that a sudden health hazard will not quickly kick out life from their body before anything can be done to help alleviate the pain or discomfort.

But normally edible organic-grown leaves given as soon as possible to someone with food poisoning  will delay or stop death.

Even when eating normally, when there’s no health hazard, people are advised not to overcook their vegetables.

A lot of people even eat contaminated food almost daily  without knowing but since they also eat fresh vegetables that are truly healthy, they may not even get into situations when they feel so very sick and need sudden healthcare.

But if such situation of serious food poisoning arises, don’t take chances between the time the serious discomfort(s) starts and when able to get medical care. Ensure freshly plucked edible  leaves get into that body system to put a delay or holdup on death.

You may then ask where to find freshly plucked edible leaves? Let me answer like a Nigerian - -do you think all the time I and so many other people kept advising on the need to plant something edible especially vegetables even in a small container like bucket or sack, we were just ranting?

If what you can plant is just one plant in your home or place of work and it won’t be enough to harvest and cook, just ensure it has edible leaves  that can be plucked and eaten raw, swallowed or juiced as drink from time to time even when not sick.

Note: be vigilant, ensure it's only trustworthy people that can help tend or have access to such plant(s) grown for health needs or emergencies.
