I remember watching a Korean film based on a true life story in which a cook later became a medical doctor and would use food to treat diseases.
Long before then in the kingdom, food was being used by some of the palace kitchen staff to control the health of members of the royal household for many generations. If some power brokers in the kingdom wanted to depose a king, prevent a prince from ascending the throne or weaken him if he became king so he wouldn’t function well, they bribed those kitchen staff to accomplish their aim.
Also, if they want to prevent a queen or any female in the royal household from getting pregnant or have miscarriage they used food. They also mostly used food to terminate the life of anyone they wanted to end.
I watched the film about 15 years ago. Though the film was based on a true life story in the 14th century I thought then that those manipulations of people’s lives with food were too far-fetched.
It seemed then that it was the mastery of a highly creative and skilled script writer that made fiction looked real. That was probably due to the fact that around that period I had gone for a screen writing course and was later offered a temporary trainee lecturing opportunity on screen writing.
So my deep interest in the film was more on the skill of writing/telling compelling stories for the screen. So I was not so fixated on the reality in that film story at time.
Moreover I was too naive at that time to believe that in these modern times, that food can be used to heal or cure, manipulate health and well-being or even kill a person or people.
The more common reality has been of people not having access to sufficient food due to poverty , famine or crises like wars.
But what people may not know is that food can still be used for a whole lot of health manipulations and premature deaths that even with all the technological advancements, the actual causes may never be traced.
This is not direct poisoning of someone or people’s food or drink that can easily be traced. This is a gradual build-up of toxic elements in a person’s system over time such that the blood becomes toxic.
Such toxicity can also be due to other means like polluted air, use of body care products with harmful elements, sexually-transmitted blood pollution or diseases, synthetic elements from medications etc. If the person is into substance abuse or alcoholism, that would be immediately be the only identified culprit for the ill-health or premature death.
This may be true but in addition, it could also be the consumption of toxic food over a prolonged period.
To some extents, many people can avoid these other means through which the blood can be ‘toxified’. I have chosen to coin and use the word ‘toxify’ rather than pollution of the blood. But they would most likely be unable to totally avoid toxic foods except they have total control over the production of ALL the food they consume.
So when people are being lured into giving up control of food they eat especially to those who are capable of enslaving them, they should be wary. Even the rich and mighty who think they are invincible and can always have access to all the food they desire can still be manipulated through food.
The manipulation can start at the primary production - farming stages where they cannot always monitor even they can fully monitor the preparation in the kitchen.
Food can actually be used to manipulate the health of people, sharpen or reduce their IQ, strengthen or weaken them emotionally/sexually, make them grumpy or happy even in recent years.
I keep saying it – if what was not intended by God the Creator to get into the human body, keep getting in and absorbed by the blood, the normal functioning of the body would be distorted. This distortion will manifest in at least one way or multiple ways.
Synthesized medications will only suppress the problem, provide some temporary relief but not fully solve the problem - this will only postpone the problem.
That said, please if sick, it is okay to go the hospital or seek medical intervention. The reason is this – a sickness that stems from years, months or weeks of toxic build up in the body system need to be immediately addressed. Food takes time – must first pass through the process of digestion – mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine from where the nutrients that provide strength/ healing are absorbed by the blood.
These are taken to the liver for detoxification where the toxins are separated from the blood. The problem arise when some or all the toxins cannot pass through the kidneys. The toxins thereby build up in the blood. All the other means orr place tated earlier through which toxins get into the blood can sometimes be avoided but food is something people normally take daily if they are not fasting and there is no problem.
So imagine taking in food with toxic elements on a daily basis- more and more toxins queue up for exit from the body through the kidneys
If they don’t all get expelled, they constantly build up in the blood – azotaemia – that means that the blood will start carrying extra-load or impurities.
Some factors would then determine which disease will cccur first – kidney disease, liver disease, hypertension, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, fertility issues, eyesight weakening, excessive wrinkles, skin blemishes etc.
In that Korean film I watched, a mentor asked the mentee-cook to constantly find leaves or herbs and research on them and how they could be used in cooking. It was that mentee-cook that later studied to become a medical doctor.
In current times, people who are truly knowledgeable about herbs as food can use these to counteract sicknesses from becoming full-blown.
During my NYSC and shortly afterwards, I was teaching little children as a classroom teacher and private lessons teacher – looking back now I remember some things on how nutrition affected the IQ/academic performance of many of those children.
Also, have you ever wondered why some adults sometimes act as through their brain is touching or some screws have come loose in their brain? If they are into alcohol or dome other substance abuse, that will be fingered.
But why does it also sometimes happen to people who are not into any substance abuse?
Apart from traumatic circumstances, would you believe that toxic food is actually also a major reason for depression?
To be continued...
